Hello Neighbours

Well I don’t know about you but my life is full of ‘hygge’ especially after the Olympics, Paralympics and seeing the Brownlee brothers – if only everything in the world was so positively inspiring.

It doesn’t look like the BBC will be short of nominees for Sports Personality of the Year or the Queen, for that matter, for her New Year Honours list.

Autumn is my favourite season and September my favourite month especially one like this year, i.e. sunny but fresher, beautiful sunsets and gorgeous autumn colours coming through. The only down side is the darker morning and evenings drawing in.

I realise we’re hurtling towards Christmas at a ridiculous pace, I got chills walking in my local supermarket on the 21st September (?!) to be greeting by stacks of quality streets and heroes (of the chocolate variety). However, there is still time to get things straight at home if you have any jobs needing to be carried out beforehand.

Don’t let the fresher weather or darker even in put you off getting out and about to some of the great events happening locally, there is plenty to choose from many of which are raising funds for some fantastic local charities.

There is a selection of seasonal features together with some great competitions again this month, so grab a cuppa, fund a cosy, quiet corner and enjoy.

Until next month then,…..think local, spent local, staff local.
